1) Load the App and Open the File
This is when the magic should start to come alive, and we are going to cheat a little here on the images...
You likely have either an Apple or an Android device. If you have anything else, you are an odd ball.
You likely have either an Apple or an Android device. If you have anything else, you are an odd ball.
- Go into the the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store ( Google Play store is a horrible name for the app store for serious computer users and business users, btw)
- Download the Google Sheets app
- Open the App -- Log in with your gmail account info
- Once logged in, you should see be able to see your new !ToDos file somehow
- Click on it
- Whala. You are looking at a fully synchronized, customizable cloud based todo list.
- And it's free.
- And the interface should never really change (given it's just a spreadsheet).
- And you can build it out any way you'd like. And you can add info on other tabs in the same file to really expand your list tracking all in one place if needeed.
- And... And... And...
- And it's free.
2) Have fun with this...
- Position the data on your phone so you can see the same part of the spreadsheet on your phone as you can see on your computer.
- Type something into your google sheet on the computer. Tab out, and watch it appear on your phone.
- Type something into your spreadsheet on your phone, and watch it block out the cell on your computer. Click the checkmark to submit the data on your phone and then watch that data show up on your computer screen in near real time.
- THIS is the power of cloud based spreadsheets that is decades ahead of Microsoft Excel and it is this basic functionality that makes googles sheets much more of a multi-dimensional cloud based resource than Microsoft Excel and/or most simple List Management Apps can ever be...
- THIS is paradigm shifting if you know how to use it, and as you can see, using it isn't all that difficult.
