102.2 - Create a gSheet called "!ToDos"
Our goal here here is create a google sheet named "!ToDos" that we can then use for a master todo list to help us organize our brains, our lives, and our business activities.
You can do this one of three ways:
You can do this one of three ways:
- You can create a new file from scratch following the steps you were shown in 102.1
- You can rename an existing file
- You can open an existing file and rename it
1) Create a new file from Scratch
Follow the steps in 102.1 and create a file named "!ToDos" (without the quotes). The leading exclamation mark will make sure it shows up at the top of your file list when that is sorted alphabetically (special characters such as ! _ and ~ will show up prior to numbers and letters in sorted lists of file names).
2) Rename an Existing File via the Drive Interface
1) Goto drive.google.com (1) OR use the Apps Icon (in chrome only) and select google drive.
2) Click on My Drive (2) (likely not necessary as it will typically load to your root drive)
3) Right click on the file you want to rename (3)
4) Select Rename (4) and rename the file to "!ToDos" (without the quotes)
2) Click on My Drive (2) (likely not necessary as it will typically load to your root drive)
3) Right click on the file you want to rename (3)
4) Select Rename (4) and rename the file to "!ToDos" (without the quotes)
3) Renaming an Existing File From the Gsheets Interface
Find the file in drive just like describe above.
Instead of right clicking on the file, double click on it to open the file in a new tab.
1) Single click into the box (1) with the current file name. Change the file name to "!ToDos" (without the quotes) and then either hit the tab key to "Tab out" of that box OR hit "enter" to process the change.
